About The Experts

Dr. Michela Nelson

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Michela is a dedicated naturopathic doctor who focuses her practice in fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care. As the first in Western Canada to complete an additional fellowship year in Perinatal Health, she combines her advanced, evidence-based expertise with her personal experience as a mother of two who has recently navigated postpartum herself. Dr. Michela is committed to helping new moms achieve optimal health and well-being through compassionate, knowledgeable care.

Penny Solinger

Registered Social Worker

Penny prioritizes creating a safe, compassionate space for healing through connection. She specializes in understanding and addressing how life’s stressors impact mental health, particularly for new mothers in the postpartum period. By exploring the reasons behind feelings and actions, she develops personalized strategies to support well-being. Her expertise in anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and perinatal mental health uniquely equips her to help women navigate and alleviate postpartum challenges.

How It Works

  • Program Duration: 6-week program with weekly 75 minute sessions.
  • Session Structure: Each session includes a check-in, educational segment, and group discussion.

What You Need To Know

  • Schedule: Next program starts end of October/early November 2024. Babies are welcome!
  • Age-specific Groupings: We aim to keep moms with similarly aged babies together to ensure the most impactful and relatable experience.
  • Investment: $650 CAD. 50% insurance coverage under counselling benefits.
